Our Projects
Toddler - 1 to 2 years
We are preparing our routine in the best possible way so that our little ones can experience moments of learning, interaction and self-knowledge.
Our little apprentices will be able to develop their autonomy and build their identity through the various activities of the “All About Me” project, a project that will fill our students’ routine with different proposals.
Children have their own way of understanding the world, and it is based on observations and establishing relationships with reality and the environment that they learn and thus continue to build their identity.
In this construction process, in search of autonomy, the child follows different paths.
Simple tasks such as recognizing your own name and the names of people you live with, such as teachers and classmates, will be worked on daily. This also adds to learning to socialize and get along with your peers.
There will be many lessons learned, and the different experiences will help each person discover their tastes, preferences and way of being in the world.
G2 - 2 to 3 years
At this stage, children are having new experiences and interactions with each other every moment. Discoveries are constant, and so is the development of orality. The project “Brown bear brown bear, What do you see?” provides a backdrop for countless activities, bodily, in the field of visual arts, and in the communication and imagination of our little ones.
From this first question, “Brown bear brown bear, What do you see?”, the child sees the parade of colorful animals in wonderful illustrations. The entire text is marked by rhyme and a unique rhythm. The question repeats itself, the color changes, as does the animal that appears on the next page.
Through repetition, this book by Eric Carle contributes to our students’ learning as they learn to name animals and colors such as Brown Bear, Red Bird, Yellow Duck, Blue Horse, Green Frog, Purple Cat, White Dog, Black Sheep , and Gold Fish.
G3 - 3 to 4 years
Interaction during play is part of everyday childhood, brings many learning opportunities and is a fundamental part of child development. Through observations, it is possible to identify, for example, the expression of tastes, the mediation of frustrations, the ability to solve problems and emotional control” (free translation from the National Curriculum). With the aim of providing an environment that allows the full development of our students, we created our first semester project for G3: Movement in the Ocean.
In it, students will study life in the ocean, the different animals that exist, how these animals move, what the ocean and its habitats are like, as well as the choices we can make to preserve marine life. We will also have a mascot for our class, who will encourage children’s ability to collaborate, also teaching them compassion and responsibility, creating a sense of community and making this moment of adaptation more meaningful. And for some children, arriving at school and seeing the pet is the first thing they want to do.
G4 - 4 to 5 years
Throughout this semester we will work on the It`s ok to be different project. The construction of identity occurs through a continuous process from the moment of birth. The It’s ok to be different project seeks to bring an air of investigation and self-knowledge, so that each child can be aware of their self, identify that each person has their own way and preferences, seeking to understand their role in the world, as well as their origin.
We adopted the book “Monkey puzzle” for the semester, it tells the story of a monkey who, together with the butterfly, goes in search of his mother. Along the way they encounter different animals with different characteristics. In addition to shared reading, we will do several activities based on the story.
